The violation of children´s rights in Colombia occurs every day as two kids are sexually abused every hour.
With regard to recent pronouncements made by state institutions on the subject of children under 15 who are in the camps of the FARC-EP, we declare that the delay was due to a disagreement of the two parties at the peace talks, not just one. The parties are committed to define the details of the protocol for their departure in the coming days.
Earlier this week, on August 1, the Supreme Court of Colombia ordered President Manuel Santos and other individuals and entities to take all appropriate and necessary measures, in an efficient and coordinated manner, to ensure that children and adolescents of The Wayuu indigenous community receive access to clean drinking water, food, health care, housing and other basic amenities necessary for their survival.
The latest report from the National Institute of Health says that 137 are the cases of child deaths from malnutrition in the country so far this year. The INS report notes that in the last week have reported six minors killed by causes related to malnutrition.

Opinion articles and different features on (forced) recruitment of children in the FARC-EP, demonstrate a lack of knowledge of the guerrillas by many. In other cases, it shows a clear intention to mislead it.

We know that these are stories that happen every day against the guerrilla fighters of the FARC-EP and their families, but we want to denounce this publicly.
Seven years ago, we had a baby girl. When we had to define her situation, we decided to send her to a couple, relatives of ours, so they could take care of her. She has received all the care and attention she needs, and also the love she can't receive from us directly, because of the distance.
On Thursday, May 15, the news of the death of two children by the explosion of a device one day earlier, which injured members of the national police, caused a stir because the official version states that the two children were the ones who launched the hand grenade to the police. It also says that both children had been used by the FARC to commit the action.
