Three groups of victims of the conflict, which has last for more than five decades in Colombia, have visited Havana, Cuba. The first two arrived without hatred and resentment or any personal inclination; they intelligently exposed their clamor for peace and reconciliation for all Colombians, demanded a bilateral ceasefire from both the government and the FARC-EP and they emphasized that the parties should not leave the Conversation Table before signing an agreement for a stable and lasting peace.

The government should go beyond rhetoric

"By decision of the two parties, the useless secrecy that surrounded the three partial agreements made in Havana, has been halted".

The FARC-EP, in a communique released today (25 September) in Havana, Cuba, made clear that it has always advocated for a process in public, with transparency. The General Agreement talks about participation of citizens, because in Havana the future of Colombia is being build, and for the citizens to participate, they need to know what is being discussed.
