The Oslo Forum 2017, a conflict resolution meeting held annually and organized by the Norwegian government, which is a guarantor country of the Colombian Peace Process, will be held this year with the presence of the highest leader of the FARC-EP, Timoleón Jiménez. The forum will be developed on June 13 and 14.

In a press release posted on the website of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs this Monday, Norwegian Foreign Minister Børge Brende celebrated the assistance of the FARC-EP leader and that of Maria Ángel Holguín, the Colombian foreign affairs minister.

"I have great expectation to welcome the chancellor and the FARC leader at the Oslo Forum 2017 to discuss last year's peace agreement. It will be a unique opportunity to learn from this process, not only for Norway in our peace efforts, but also for others who are working to achieve the same goal" Brende said.

On the 14th, Holguín and Jiménez will participate alongside the panel "Colombia: Putting Peace into Practice", where they will discuss the six months of implementation of what has been wolrd-wide considered an exemplary agreement. On June 14 they will give an open talk at the House of Norwegian Literature (Litteraturhuset).
