The 'Minga por la vida' (March for Life) was organized by indigenous peoples and organizations throughout Colombia today to reject the breaches of 1,300 agreements by the National Government on issues such as education, health, agricultural programs and ethnic approach in the implementation of the Havana Peace Agreement.

Territory and environmental authorities are other items on the agenda.

More than one hundred thousand indigenous people will be mobilized in regions such as Huila, Quindío, Cauca, Nariño, César, Sucre, Risaralda, Caldas, Norte de Santander, Córdoba, Caquetá, Vichada, Amazonas while in Valle del Cauca, in La Delfina, via Cali Buenaventura concentrations and road blockades are made.

Human Rights Defenders demanded that the Government respect the right to protest and to mobilize after the presence of what they have called the threat of the criminal apparatus of Esmad that is already present in the territories.

The 'Minga for life' is carried out under the slogan "For Life and the transformation of the present to guarantee a dignified future with justice and in peace for all”.
